In addition to carbohydrates Dhamani UgaliTM is fully fortified to provide the necessary vitamins, minerals and dietary fibre ... fibre is important for digestion and the prevention of various diseases ... having a high fibre diet is like having your intestines and digestive system cleaned and serviced ... and not consuming enough high fibre foods causes constipation, poor digestion and a sluggish system, haemorrhoids, diverticulitis etc etc.
Dhamani UgaliTM contains soya protein, a high-quality complete plant protein that is comparable in protein quality to high-quality animal-based protein. Proteins are required to build new tissue, particularly during the rapid growth period of infancy and early childhood, during pregnancy and nursing, and after infections or injuries.

Proteins function as enzymes and hormones, as transporters and receptors, and as part of the structural integrity of most organs in the body. Protein is the primary tissue-repair and growth substance in the body. Protein also is the major structural component of all cells in the body, and as such, is often considered the most important macronutrient for humans.

Having adequate protein in the diet is always important, but meeting protein requirements is especially critical during periods of rapid growth — infancy, childhood and adolescence. Dhamani UgaliTM contains a high quality, complete, plant-based protein that can provide essential amino acids in an easily digestible form.

Dhamani UgaliTM is also rich in vegetable lipids (oils).
